Self-Sufficiency Matrix

Our RESS Program uses the Self Sufficiency Matrix to assess the  client’s knowledge and ability to get the types of services they need to  meet their individual or family needs. After your initial intake  meeting, your benchmark will be established, so we can track your  progress towards achieving your goal. Each advancement in benchmarks  will elevate you on your way toward achieving economic stability—which is the goal.

This is an assessment and measurement tool which has been adapted to  meet the needs and core purpose of our mission. This format allows for  client progress or maintenance to be measured over time on the selected  scales. It is important to recognize that a score of “10” or “Thriving”  should not be the goal for every client. Benchmarks above the prevention  line are generally considered achievements of independence or client  strengths. Monitoring our client's progress in this way allows for a  visual representation of each client’s success in maintaining or  improving in specific areas.
